Burns & Wimer Consulting is a family-run business founded by Michelle Burns and Nicholas Wimer, bringing together a unique blend of expertise in energy and environmental consulting.

Michelle, with her Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, leads the Project Management side of the business. She has a proven track record in managing large-scale solar and battery storage projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Her extensive experience in the renewables industry encompasses project development from start to finish, a deep understanding of design drawings, and the ability to communicate across multiple engineering disciplines.

Nicholas, holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in computational fluid dynamics, serves as the primary expert witness for the firm. Currently employed as a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, he specializes in fluid mechanics, AI/ML, and numerical methods. His extensive experience in expert witness work and his contributions to advanced engineering research make him a respected authority in his field.
